Tired, drained, and quietly hiding in baggier and baggier clothes.

Jess came to Tanvir worn down. Long hours at a desk, meals grabbed in a hurry between tasks, and a body slowly changing in a direction she did not want. The weight crept on, the clothes got bigger to cover it, and the reflection stopped feeling like her.

A plan she could run from home.

Together they mapped something that fit a full working life. Three sessions a week at home, dumbbells and resistance bands, forty-five minutes to an hour. A daily step target that was non-negotiable. Nothing extreme, nothing she could not sustain.

Singing, for posture and for joy.

Jess mentioned she used to sing, that she had been part of a choir. Tanvir encouraged her to take it up again. A new chapter is easier to hold when you have something joyful to ground you, and singing gave her more than that. It asks for a tall, open posture and real work from the diaphragm and core, the very muscles a desk job leaves switched off. The hobby she loved quietly became part of the training.

You have exceeded my expectations by helping me exceed my own expectations of myself. The food mapping, giving me a shopping list, took a lot of the admin out of the day-to-day slog of food prep. It was really, really good. And you changed things up when I needed things changing, always available through WhatsApp. I was not expecting that. This is your job, and you would answer my text messages at half eight in the evening.

The scale only shows part of this. Jess lost a little over five kilos on the scale, but underneath that she stripped away close to nine kilos of fat and held on to the lean muscle that gives her shape. Twenty centimetres off her waist. Two dress sizes. And a hobby she had set aside, back in her life. That is what six months done properly looks like.
